Siemens CP342-5 as Slave to Non-Siemens Profibus Master

neoys Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I seek your kind assistance to configure the CP342-5 as a Profibus Slave to Non-Siemens Master. I aplologize but my knowledge on Siemens product is very limited. My setup for the Siemens PLC is as such CPU 315-2 PN/DP CP 342-5 (Slave) I need to configure the CP 342-5 as slave to communicate with a Mitsubishi Profibus Master communication card. The Mitsubishi PLC is connected to a couple of Danfoss VSD VLT6000 via profibus and is communication fine. Now I require to interface with thie Siemens CP342-5. I need to show an example of the Profibus Master card reading data from Siemens CP342-5. The Profibus Master is loaded with the CP342-5 GSD file. 4 bytes DI /Consistency1 byte (testing) was configured. Bus Speed:187.5kbps I have look through examples on forums and tried them but there is not one that show me exactly what to do. The BUSF LED is always blinking on the CP342-5 card. Could anyone show me or send me an example how to configure the CP342-5 to communicate with the above master configuration? Your help is greaty appreciated

Your help is greaty appreciated Hello neoys, There are plenty of samples available HERE , While for your case and data of data to transfer I suggest checking the following sample for both consistent and non-consistent data transfer: DP link between CP 342-5 (slave) and S7-300/400 (master) with STEP 7 V5.1 I hope this helps, Hamid Hosseini
