6ES7 331-7PF01-0AB0 RTD problems with resistance

aerrree Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	Hi, I am using a 6ES7 331-7PF01-0AB0 RTD with PT100. the instruments are connectet to the card via a zener diode barrier because the environment is EX-classed. the problem is that when we are using the barriers we get Wire Break error on the channels and the value will read 32767 (or something). when we connect the instruments directly to the card we will get correct values. We have measured on the barrier and it seems to give 50 ohm resistance. Is there some way to set the card to accept this extra resistance or is there some other way to get this to work. Thanks in advance.

aerrree Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	We fixed it by connecting the sensors to a standard AI card that worked despite the barrier. it appears to give a less stable reading but it is working.

aerrree Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	The barriers are still in place and are used (due to ex functionality). We connected the sensors (via the barriers) to standard AI cards instead of the RTD cards. the accuracy seems to be lower and the measured value "flips" around 1 degree up and down.
