FW4.1 Acces station Web server

Ikkez Bronze Member Joined: 5/29/2013 Last visit: 7/28/2025 Posts: 104 Rating: (28)	I was reading the V4.1 release notes and i noticed the following: *Station web server* central access via the IP-address of selected (communication processor) modules in a local rack, as well as via the IP-address of the S7‑1200 CPU. Can someone explain me what it exactly means ? Are we now finally able to access the Webserver with the CP 1242-7 (1200 GPRS modem) ? Firmware Version V4.1 released for S7-1200 CPUs

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (120)	I have not been able to test this feature but the information I have received on Firmware version 4.1 indicates connection via CPs is supported. Ikkez Bronze Member Joined: 5/29/2013 Last visit: 7/28/2025 Posts: 104 Rating: (28)	Hey Billwest, Your slide looks promising, and it also give us a sneak preview of a coming 4G modem for the 1200. Will this modem be on the market soon ? We are using now modems from other manufactures because Siemens does not provide (as far as I know and because I never got some response on this issue) a (2-3-4G) Ethernet modem/router that is able to send SMS and get access to the webserver or Ethernet. Will the webserver also be accessible with the 1242-7 ?As I have costumers now running this configuration, and a firmware upgrade to 4.1 could be very useful to them. When you have tested this please let me know.
