if you want to integrate the smartclient in your screens, you can use the html browser.

With V13 SP1 (Image 13.0.1.1 or 13.0.1.0 on the panel) I didn't notice any java issues.

did you also upgrade the panel image to v13 sp1? with v13 and java 8 it wasn't possible to access the sm@rtserver via html pages.

you can use the "sm@rtclient.exe" to check if you can access the smartclient from the runtime pc.

the device you are trying to show in the window is a panel, isn't it?

If this panel has the device version V13.0.0.0 you can't access it via html and the newest java version.

The hint with the smartclient.exe was just for your tests, to see if you can basically access the panel from the pc station.

do you mean you want to decide directly on the comfort panel if someone is allowed to use the smartserver?

or do you want to save the login information on the pc station with runtime professional so you don't have to type the password everytime you want to connect?

you can disable the password on the comfort panel. open the dialog "WinCC Internet Settings" in the comfort panel. change to tab "Administration" and disable "Disable empty passwords".
