I have an applicaion in WinCC Flex 2008 SP3 where I need to save some data off the HMI and import it into a Quality DB system. The application is not currently networked so I'd like to temporarily save some data to the CF card to verify that it can be formatted in a manner where it can then be imported into the QDB system. I've searched and it appears that the 'SaveDataRecord' command would work. I am not very experienced with scripting so I don't know where to begin with this command.

Can someone show me where to find an example of the command usage, or is there a better way to do this?

Also, is this the same command that would be used if the system were networked? The process would be similar in that I would still have to send the data to a file. The QDB system is setup to open the file and pull out the required data.

Save data record is used to save the data in the recipe in any storage medium of hmi...and also you can export into csv file..

but what do u mean by QDB system??

Sorry about the QDB. It's our Quality Data Base system. Basically, I need to save a file in *.csv format from the HMI. Our QDB (Quality DataBase) system can extract the data from a *.csv file format.

So I need a way to save a file from the HMI in *.csv format. I currently populate a chart of data on one page of the HMI. Then I have a button configured as a <PRINT SCREEN> function. The operator takes the printed document to the Lab where someone else then keys in the printed data to the database. I need to eliminate the printed document and the possible human error of the Lab assistant having to key in the data.

I just found the command <ExportDataRecords> that can create a *.csv file. Now I would like to see an example script of how to use this command.

Recipe number/name

Number or name of the recipe from which the data records are exported. Specify "0" if recipe data records are to be exported from all available recipes.

Data record number/name

Number or name of the recipe data record to be exported. Specify "0" if all recipe data records are to be exported.

File name

Name of the CSV file to which the recipe data records are exported. Enter the file location and the file extension (*.CSV) e.g. "C:\TEMP\Orange.CSV".
