Hi all,

I have an safety input from flow meter of range 0to5m3 per hour 4 TO 20 ma.

I have a scaling block in failsafe block FB179 With integer output  as a scaling output so i cannot get intermediate values like 2.5 ,3.5 etc...

why it is so??

shall i move the value from iw to some db and perform the scaling in normal block if so what happens??

Hi,

It is not a problem, instead of scale your input between 0 to 5, you can scale it between 0 to 50 (range *10) So, for 3.5 your result will be 35.

Easy to use into your program and you should scale it onto your HMI (using scale parameters of variables) if you need to display it.
