Confirm the module is configured for the correct signal input range using the configuration plug on the side.

Can you read out the diagnistic buffer of your cpu and post it here?

It would be helpful to understand the problem.....

see this manual. maybe it helps you to get your problem solved. 

in the manual I postet above on page 372 you can see how a 4-wire-transducer works. 

As you can see, there are 2 wires for the messurement and 2 wires for the source of the transducer(Chanel 4-7). For this messuring you need to set the Measuring range module to position C. 

Compered to this the 2-wire-transducer is powered from the 2 messuring wires(Chanel 0-3). this is one reason why the only messuring range is 4..20mA. For this messuring you need to set the Measuring range module to position D.

If you have unused channels, it is not necessary to do anything with the module. You only have to deactivate the channel in the properties of your card in HW-Config.
