inquiry about Wincc and S7-1500 - connect s7-1500 through modbus tcp/ip

ikosi Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have same problem but with s7-1500 and wincc v7.0 sp3. Can I connect also s7-1500 through modbus tcp/ip., if yes what I must write on server (the ip addres of PLC?), and port and address of remote slave? Many thanks

Thru [ Tag Management -> Simatic S7 Protocol Suite -> TCP/IP ] I can connect to S7-300 and 400 PLC's. But when I try to reach a S7-1500 it says "No Connection to the PLC". I can ping the S7-1500 PLC. My WinCC SCADA version is WinCC Runtime V7.0 + SP3 + Upd3. Is it possible on this version of WinCC? Greetings, Paul

WinCC Channel "SIMATIC S7 Protocol Suite" Function principle The Channel "SIMATIC S7 Protocol Suite" is used to link SIMATIC S7-300 and SIMATIC S7-400 automation systems. But: you can use a connection via OPC. WinCC-OPC-server is provided on installation cd. Regards Georg
