Hi Guys!

I would like to develop a HMI , where the brightness of the HMI will be 0% if there is no use and the brightness will be 100% when someone touch the screen and it remains same as long as the screens are in use. It will go off, if there is no active use for certain time period.

I know, there is a set brightness system event in the Wincc TIA portal. But how to integrate it with idea??

If someone has any idea, please help.

You can create a new screen with a Button over the whole Screen.

So use the User Administratoin and create a user that has a logout time of 1 minute when nothing is done. So go into the Scheduled Tasks and create the Event User Change. then you project a Screen change to the new picture and a SetBrightness to 0 %.

So when you tap to the screen with 0% you will touch the Button in the new Picture and you can do a Set Brightness to 100% and a ActivatePicture to the Last known picture (Activate Previous Screen) or a Screen change to a spefic Screen. 

Then you have to login again.

So you have to use the User Management and the automatic logout because there ist (except the Screen saver) no other Solution.

do you use a mono or color panel?

For monochrome panels you can only adjust contrast. No brightness. So, I guess, c-function using "brightness" will not be supported.

My one is a colour panel and it has the brightness gauge in the panel settings.
