Hallo,

Is there any way to change CPU(214-1AG40-0xB0) firmware version without deleting CPU and the program inside. (TIA Portal V13, S7-1200)

You can install the CPU firmware update from the Web server, the online diagnostic functions of STEP 7, or by making an SIMATIC memory card using the Siemens customer support Web site that contains the firmware update. The S7-1200 System Manual documents these methods.

If you use an SIMATIC memory card to install the CPU firmware update, retentive memory is retained. However, if you use the Web server or online diagnostic functions of STEP 7 to install the update, retentive memory is lost.

If you close the Web browser while in the process of performing a firmware update from the Web server, you will be unable to change the operating mode of the CPU to RUN mode. If this situation happens, you must cycle power to the CPU to be able to change the CPU to RUN mode.

I dont need to download or update i think. 

Could u please check the attached picture? I wanna change 4.1 into 4.0. It can be selected. But it can choosen during selecting CPU. But in one of my program i have already choosen 4.1 and if i want to change it into 4.0, i need to add a new CPU. That means deleting the program into deleted CPU. Is there any other way to change it into 4.0 without deleting CPU?

do it like Christoph said. 

If this doesn´t work, create the new CPU with FW4.0 and copy the programm and everything you need from the the one to the other CPU by drag and drop.
