We run WinCC flexible Advanced and sometimes, especially after longer power cuts some recipes dissapear and it is just like it goes back to an older backup with recent changes missing.

Works fine after I have uploaded the latest version again. (except the recipes)

Do anyone have an idea?

You should specify if you are mentioning about a panel HMI or PC runtime at first.

Also better define If you are mentioning about old recipes or also old runtime pages.

Old recipes only: better check out eventually job as backup/restore recipes around the projects
Old pages only: better control the PDATA.FWX as runtime PC

It is a PC Runtime device, with RT loader.

Both recipes and pages change.

No backup or restore function present.

This is the standard configuration I have in any project I'm following and never happens to me.

I think there is an exe file somewhere else swapping files.

I can suggest to change the standard project file location in the loader setup (example: C:\ProgramData\Siemens\HmiRtm\HmiRtm\Projects\) to another folder and place PDATA.FWX and PDATAPWX inside and test.

Perhaps EWF is activated?

EWF is available only for Win embedded PC equipped.

It's more than 10 years I don't install a Win embedded and I don't remember there was this restriction. I remember for sure I had my flash card split in 2 disks.

May be the WinCC flex is installed in the drive EWF protected, it may be I installed on the D drive .....
I was either using EWF due to prevent viruses and games installed from machine operator during the night shift, I made many changes but I don't remember this problem.

If possible, use a partition / additional Memory Card or an USB-stick without EWF for recipes.
