If you are looking for remote programming, there are several possible approaches: CP243-1 module, ethernet serial pass-through devices, or remote PC operation software. If you want the S7-200 to host a web page, you need to get a 243-1 IT module. The manual for this module is at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/15120801.

But leater i can't try connection over internet.I look all the document about the cp 243 1 or 243 1 IT its say about ethernet control. I ask toyou : İt is possible control over internet. mmckay Posts: 247 Rating: (65)	If I am understanding your request, you want a PC-based HMI system talking an S7-200 PLC via the Internet. The first piece of this is to get the PLC onto the internet. To do this, you need an Ethernet port on the PLC (a CP243-1 card will do the trick), and an internet connection to hook the PLC to. You will need to work with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to get an internet connection for the PLC. The system will be simpler if you have a static IP address for the PLC. Ifyour ISPisunable to do this, you can probably get the system workingusing routers to map from dynamic IP addresses to static addresses, but the systemwill be significantly more complex to set up. If the PLC is to host a web page or send email notifications of process conditions, you will need the CP243-1 IT module. If the PLC is just talking to the HMI and/or doing remote programming, you can use the non-IT version of the CP243-1 card. Next, you need to get your HMI talking to the internet. As this is PC-based system, getting an internet connection is less of an issue. However, HMI system still really prefer having static IP addresses. Once both devices are on the Internet, the Internet is basically acting as a huge Ethernetrouter - neither the HMI nor PLC are aware of the fact that the data is going over the internet. To them, it appears that they are connected via an Ethernet LAN. The DNS server that your ISP is using should take care of routing between the subnets that your HMI and PLC are on. Choose an HMI system based on what functions you need to proform. WinCC Flex has a built-in S7-200 Ethernet driver, which is an advantage. For full WinCC, you will need to use the WinCC OPC channel and eitherthe PC-Access or Simatic Net OPC Server. If you are doing a basic HMI, I would recommend WinCC Flex because of the the easier to set up driver. However, full WinCC has a lot more capability than Flex, so if you need to do database operations, integrate other PC programs, etc., full WinCC can be the better solution.

Hello, i am also need assistence for the connection between WinCC and S7-200 PLC (CP243-1) via Internet VPN. I solved this problem last year when WinCC and S7-200 were in the same LAN. I used PC access and WinCC. The problem now is that currently PLC is already configured to accept all incoming connections. Router is connected to the PLC is configured to initiate a VPN connection with another router learned the location where software is installed on a PC with WinCC. We tried to interface the PLC with WinCC V1.0 SP6 PcAccess but I failed. PcAcces returns the error "Network error". Do you have an another ideea how to do this?
