Sinamic G120 Driver: control the same using another PLC

Friends_100000 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear all, i'm using sinamic G120 Driver. the driver is currently working in profinet communication with Siemens PLC. I need to use the digital I/O Terminals of the same Driver and need to control the same using another PLC. Is this possible? Can we switch between Profinet & Hardwired according to our requirements? i have starter programme that uploaded in the VFD. Help me please. Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Is it possible to use sinamics G120 drive as a recoiler drive.

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 6068 Rating: (828)	Hello Friends, this is actually the standard control mode when performing basic commissioning with fieldbus CUs After commissioning with the wizard, the parameter p15 is set to the macro 7 (fieldbus with data set changeover). With DI3 you can then switch over to the second control data set (CDS). In this control mode jogging forward or backward is possible with activating DI0 or DI1. In Starter you can switch the CDS in the drop down field at the bottom.
