Connection of Stations to PROFIBUS

Stage:-01 CP5611 Card:CPU-315-2DP IM(153-2BA01-0XB0) Profibus Conection:- A1-B1=================== A1-B1///////A2-B2(DP-Port)=======A1-B1 Switch:- On On On Hardware Configuration With CPU-315-2-DP, IM153. Download Possible. Hardware Diagnosis:- CPU-315-2DP:- Message:- "Module Available and Ok. End of Syn with DP Slave." :- IM-153-2DP :- Message:- "Actual and Preset Mismatch." :- BF on CPU-315-2DP and IM-153. This stage is not my Problem.As the Profibus Switch on "CPU" is On. Stage:-02 CP5611 Card:CPU-315-2DP IM(153-2BA01-0XB0) Profibus Conection:- A1-B1=================== A1-B1///////A2-B2(DP-Port)=======A1-B1 ON OFF ON Hardware Configuration With CPU-315-2-DP, IM153 already downloaded in Stage:-01 Hardware Diagnosis:- CPU-315-2DP:- Message:- "Online Communication Cannot be Established." :- IM-153-2DP :- Message:- "Online Communication Cannot be Established." :- No BF on CPU-315-2DP and IM-153. This stage is my Problem. Stage:-03 CP5611 Card:CPU-315-2DP IM(153-2BA01-0XB0) Conection:- A1-B1===========A1-B1(MPI-Port)A2-B2(DP-Port)=============A1-B1 Switch:- OnOn Off ON Hardware Configuration With CPU-315-2-DP, IM153 already downloaded in Stage:-01 Hardware Diagnosis:- CPU-315-2DP:- Message:- "Module Available and Ok." :- IM-153-2DP :- Message:-"Module Available and Ok." :- No BF on CPU-315-2DP and IM-153. I have a Scada Prepared in "WinCC Scada" with Tags on Profibus.So i want to bring my Computer on Profibus Network with CPU-315 and IM-153. Can anybody help me out. Thanks.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear patel_div, I am a bit astonished I have to admit because as far as I see it you have either really old PROFIBUS Connectors or a more than strange behaviour. If you have a resent connector you should not have Stage 01 because you would either see the CP 5611 and the CPU or the CPU and the IM but certainly not all three. Stage 2 could be explainable if you have the PC and the CPU in different projects. In this case the Bus is configured differently and so the System is not stable, therefore the Problem with configuration mismatch could be due to the CP configured wrong. Stage 3 could be working, seen form the PROFIBUS point of view, because the distance between the CPU and the IM are less than maybe 5 m. Than this could still work at about 1.5 MBit. These are my thoughts on it. Best regards J_Bell

patel_div Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi Bell, I have solved the above problem. I was able to download my hardware in stage-01. but as soon as i get in stage-02 the communication between cp-5611 and CPU-315 was lost. That's because the length of the profibus cable was too big for the speed of 1.5Mbps. As i reduced the speed to 187.5, it solved my problem. Thanks and Regards. Patel
