Dear Experts,

i used S7-1200 V10.5 and I need to create a weekly timer so i cant found it in) Basic instructions->counter operation )

My application is very easy

On Monday from 8:00 am to 5 Pm in need to activate the output 1
OnTuesday from 8:00 am to3 Pm in need to activate the output 1
On Thursday from 8:00 am to8 Pm in need to activate the output 1

so what can I do to solve this problem

There are several ways to do this, but in the old V10.5 version, it may be difficult to find anyone who still has that installed as V11 SP2 has been out for quite a while and is much! more stable. You can still create programming for the older PLC firmware.

That said, you can create several rungs of logic, one for each state change, and one for the startup OB to establish initial state of output 1.

These all require your PLC to have accurate time, so you will want to put the PLC on a UPS or have it connect to a NTP server to get time updates so your logic is closer to real time.

Use the -(s)- and -(r)- instruction at each time switch to change the state. If you find yourself suddenly in time between where the output is in the wrong state, simply set or reset it.

If you have an HMI, you can use that to help keep / set time, and also set / adjust the schedule as well as the output.

With V11 SP2, you can use SCL programming. With SCL, you can use open source program blocks from OSCAT that do these schedules for you, but the logic is not that complicated. It is more complicated keeping the time right in the plc.

I didn't look at the Siemens link where there is an example that could fit your needs.

One year ago I had a similar "problem" to manage and obviously the fact that you need to think with a "modulo" of one week (instead of one day) makes things slightly more complicated.

Anyway your solution is this:

-> Read actual day of week (0...6, is a number).

-> Read actual hour and minute and second.

-> Combine the above mentioned numbers in a DINT number that uniquely represent your time in milliseconds.

The FC you can create is this:

#FC_Absolute_Week_Time_Conversion := TOD_TO_DINT(#Real_Time) + (#Actual_Day - 1) * 24 * 60 * 60 * 1000;

Where the FC_Absolute_Week_Time_Conversion is clearly a DINT as output, absolutely.

So you enter the Real_Time (TOD) and the Actual_Day (DINT or INT).

And you have as output a "big" number (DINT) that tells you the amount of ms that have passed since the day 0 of this week.

All you have to do is to compare your programmed time with the elapsed time of the week, basically you create a window of +2 seconds, just to not make it too short (otherwise nothing will work because of the system time scan) and you see if your programmed time is inside this window.

And game is over.
