I need to migrate a proyect from protool to wincc flexible.

The protool proyect is a PDB file and the panel is a OP17. I open this file with WinCC flexible 2008 SP2 but i can´t. it gives me an error. It says that the components for the migration is not installe or that Protool is already opened. The origin of the problem is ProtoolMigrationController.

I have got protool closed and i don´t know how to solve that problem. I have also tried migrating another program but it doesn´t work.

I have got WinCC flexible 2008 SP2 and Protool V6+SP3.

Maybe something is pending to be installed?

can you tell us more about the System?
Which operating system you use?
In which order you install the SW ? (first protool then WinCCFlexible?)

My operator system is windows 7 profesional 32bits

I installed first Wincc flexible and later protool. It doesn´t work so I uninstalled Wincc flexible and installed again. It doesn´t work.

I installed protool in compatibility mode with windows xp sp3 and protool is working.

you have a lot of incompatible products:

wrong Operation System

wrong Step7 Version

I think you should install a clean system with XP; Step7;  Protool; WinccFlex to migrate the projects.

Im pretty sure you cant open a protool project without having winccflex 2005. It isn't suported from 2008 on.

 the migration bis possible with WinCCFlex 2008 SP2, first SP3 of WinCCflex 208 doen' support the Migration.

But the SW must be installed on a compatible System to work correctly.

have you install WinCC Flex2008 SP2 in user-defined mode?

I think you must install the Software like user-defined

in the Setup you must aktivate the "button" Migration otherwise is doesn`t install
