ET-200M DP nodes online.

Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Hi, I'm rather new to Siemens S7-300's and profibus so this question is probably easy to answer. I have a DP network with a single S7-315 and 2 ET-200M's sat upon it. I would like to add a routine into the PLC that detects that the two ET-200M nodes are functioning correctly. What is the most simplest way to go about this?

Read back a flashing output by an Input (wired to the output) 2. Using SIMATIC Diagnostic features Using diagnostic features is in my opinion the best way. There are documented Diagnostics Blocks for PROFIBUS DP (FB125, FC125) for free download http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/387257 There is a documented PROFIBUS Diagnostics Package for SIMATIC S7 and TD/OP (for free download) if you would like to show errors on panels. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/5362473
