any one knows about Restricted Earth Fault in 7UT612?

mehri Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, any one knows about Restricted Earth Fault in 7UT612,I think both REF in 7UT612 are Low Impedance but in siprotec the 7UT612 has 1 High & 1 Low REF. please help me

litses Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	REF (or low impedance)needs 2 different current inputs (phase currents of the desired REF side & neutral current)for calculating the differential and restricting current. High impedance needs sizing of the varistor, a resistance and wiring connection for reading the differential current. It is a completely different wiring and philosophy.
