HMI : Wincc comfort TP1500

I want to hold a same set of recipes in both PLC and HMI. Say, I have 10 products, which require  10 recipe data records.

I created a Global DB, which is an array of 10 product recipes. I also created a recipe structure , with 10 data records.  In the HMI, I created an advance recipe view. The options, send data record to PLC and read data record from PLC , let me send and receive only 1 record at a time.

My question is it possible to update Global DB array at a specific index?  Say if, I update 9th data record in HMI, the option send data record to plc should update the 9th record in the Global DB directly.

If it is not possible, should I create a function on my own to copy the 9th data record from HMI to 9th index in the Global DB array.

I'm working on a similar setup and I have created a VBS script to download all of the records, one at a time (to array index 0), using Control tags; Control tag ID and Instruction control tag as internal tags.

Set the Control tag ID to 1 and then the Instruction control tag to value 7.

Wait for the Instruction control tag to be reset to 0, then send the recipe index to the PLC.

In the PLC when the index is non zero, move the received record to it's index in the array and reset the index.

Increase the index and loop until all records are transferred.
