Yes, i have tried it on PLC having 2 wire module and MY four wire 4-20mA source.

In two wire module, one terminal having +24VDC and another is sink terminal to which you can connect the positive terminal of 4 wire transmitter. another terminal of 4 wire transmitter will connect to M terminal of PLC.

 While this may be good option for other type of AI Modules ,This may not be feasible for this 6ES7 134 4GD00 0AB0 module.

Pl have a look at the internal configuration of the module in the Manual attached.
You will notice ( Page-8 of the Manual ) :

a) Mana ( Ground for AI signals ) is not available on Module Terminals.
b) Mana is not the same as M ( Power supply ground )

Therefore even if you are able to read the 4 wire AI signals by connecting it to M- of Module and M of power supply it will not read accurately.

The correct option is to go in for a 4-wire AI module.
