It is better to add some description to your problem to be able to help you. It would be good to add some screen shots

When do these errors appear? In DB? During runtime? During compile?

Is this an error during creating string variable inside your DB? Or during linking tag in WinCC TIA?

1)Have you tried to display your tag on the HMI? (into an IOField - String) just to make sure that the connection between your PLC and HMI is correct and that you have the good address...

2)Try the SendEmail function with the event "Click" on a Button. If it works then maybe it's the function sendEmail with the Incoming event the problem... if it is the problem create a VBS that send an Email. Maybe in the VBS it will works!

Hello SAR-CNT,

how does it react if you use the other two options:

• string (HMI)
• wstring (PLC) ?

Of course the datatype of the HMI-tag that is created when you connect to the PLC tag is of the same datatype ('string' in your last post)?

What is the length of your string in the PLC? ("Properties > General > Length") Maybe it's too short.

The structure of string and wstring is different. Maybe there is some problem here?
