Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Importing a Techncial Question of an User TEBANCH I HAVE A LITLE DIFICULTS TO MAKE A COMUNICATION BETWEN A S5 WITH A CP 5341 ANDONE STATION WITH WINCC V6.0, THE PROTOCOL THAT I'M TRYNG TO USE IS PROFUBUS FMS, THE PC STATION HAVE A CP5614;DO YOU KNOW ABOUT A SPECIAL SETTING FOR CP5614?, BECAUSE I USE A PROCEDURE THAT I DOWNLOADED FROM SIEMENS PAGE AND IT DO NOT WORK PROPERLY.

I have to admit that I am clueless which one you talk about, at the moment. What you need to do to get this Connection done is creating a FMS Connection with Master - Master Communication in NetPro. Actually the basic settings should be sufficient to get connected with the S5 CP 5431 DP/FMS. Could you maybe post a sample of your Configuration that waywe can see what you did till now? TEBANCH Posts: 232 Rating: (20)	HI, THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION; THE NAME OF THE ARTICLE THAT I READ IS "S5 FMS WinCC V5.1 WITH SIMATIC NET 07/2001 + SP4" I JUST CONFIGURE ALL ITEMS LIKE THE EXAMPLE SAYS TO DO A PROBE; BUT I WAS NOT ABLE TO ENTABLISH THE COMUNICATION BETWEN THE 2 CP'S (CP 5431 AND CP5614). I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION, IT IS POSIBLE TO MAKE WORK CP5614 IN PROFIBUS FDL PROTOCOL? BECAUSE ORIGINALLY THE SISTEM WAS CONFIGURED TO WORK WITH CP5431 AND CP 5412 IN PROFIBUS FDL, THE APLICATION WAS AN HMI IN COROS LSB, AND THE PANEL WAS AN OP47. THANKS ALL FOR YOUR HELP .

I am not sure if you are familiar with OPC Servers too, so if you are, have you tried to get the Index Values you created on the CP 5431 alsoon the OPC Client? I think this would be very helpful because this way you could see if the GETOV was successful and the Connection is established. Just as a first idea. Best regards J_Bell

YES I CONFIGURE THE CP5431 USING COM5431 SOFTWARE, IN FACT I ALSO CHANGE THE EEPROM OF THE CP, BECAUSE THE PLC IS TOO OLD AND IT WASN'T IN USE SINCE 2 YEARS AGO. I'M NOT REALLYFAMILIARICED WITH OPC SERVERS, BUTI'LL TRY TO LEARN A LITLE BIT MORE TO UNDERSTAND YOU SUGGESTIONS. THANKS.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry for the late reply, but I just had the chance to talk to a WinCC guy and he told me that FDL is also possible with WinCC... but the how to is better asked in the WinCC forum or in the communication manual of WinCC. I hope you get around with the FMS OPC Server. Best regards J_Bell
