Hi,

I have a project made in WinCC TIA portal v13 professional sp1, and I have a trend screen which on it you can see a graphic with the values of motors, analog, etc. These values are in a BBDD that save this values X in a period of time.

Now I have a rapport Screen in which I want to get a motor per exemple and show the uptime or the current that it takes in a period of time.

So my question is how can I make a request (in VB script) to the BBDD and ask for the first value and the last value that are in the BBDD (or in a period of time), then I will put these values in a I/O field.

I try to explain myself the better way as I can.

• or the mean value (average) over two or more values?

In the second it would be easier to do the calculation in the PLC instead of the HMI, because I think you will need to use a timer and the HMI is unresponsive each time while a timer is active.

For the first case i have the following idea:

• Create an Array of [0..1] Real or whatever datatype your PLC tag for the current uses. 
• Use an index tag that will keep its value outside the script (an HMI tag for example). Initialize it with "0" (default value in DB).
• Use some event  (like "button pressed"...) as trigger to call the vbs script.
• Have a case select of if-then-else check if the index is "0" or "1" (or higher if you need more than 2 values) 
• Case index = 0 / if index = 0 :
  Save the value of the PLC tag in that moment to Array[index]. Increase the index of the array by one --> index =1).
• Have a second trigger (event) to call the script again for the second value (second button pressed or "Change of value" of a plc tag after a timer in the PLC has counted down some time).
• Now the part
  Case index = 1 / if index = 1
  is relevant, because the index is 1. Save the new value to Array[index]. Reset the index to "0".
• Have two I/O-fields. Connect one to Array[0] and the other to Array[1].

PS: Don't use "BBDD" in English, please. Had to google it first to learn that it means "DB" or "DBs".

I do not want to average about two values. What I want is to take two values over time and show it.

For exemple: I want to know how much time a motor has been in operation since 2014/05 to 2016/03. This values is registered in the database and my problem is how can I get these values.

do you use any SIEMENS hardware to control your motor?
I know that SIMOCODE pro for example saves this data automatically (over a period if time and overall) and you can define when to reset the periodic count.
To access these statistics you just need a read/write command in the PLC and the parameters (like described in the according manuals.)

Maybe it's similar with other products.

 Soooo... the value you want IS saved somewhere? What kind of database?

Yes it is saved in the database that makes wincc. I mean when you go to historical data in Wincc , the values I want to know are saved there.

For control the motors I think there is a variator , but I can't use it to do my porpuose.

Soooo... how about using the "WinCC Online Table Control" (= "Table View") Control?

You can add archives beforehand and during runtime and have the control calculate the min/max values.
This can be used for the values visible in the Table View window only. So you have to configure it somewhat manually.

There is another option.

You could use the Add-on "PM-OPEN EXPORT" to export your data from the database as .csv file (or similar). You can utilize that data outside the runtime and re-import data to visualize in runtime.(Version 7.9 seems to be compatible compatibe with WinCC Professional V13 SP1)
