In industry you want reliable connections (atleast i do) and in my opinion soldered sub d9 with cable that does not have the right specifications cannot match profibus cable with coresponding connectors. Even if it's only a point to point connection of a HMI i would recommend to use good connectors and cable. Had to solve many problems on systems where in most cases bad connectors or cable was the main cause. Better pay a little more at the beginning and do it right then have to go back a few times to fix the problem that should not be there if you had used the right connectors and cable. just my 2 cents.
