can someone help me tackle this problem:

I work with WinCC V13 SP1 Professional. I have one screen where I put three screen windows on. All these screen windows should be always visible, i.e. a footer, header and main work area. I want to implement an action so that pressing a pushbutton (from any of the screen windows) toggles a visibility of an object, say a rectangle, located on the main screen. When I design this all, it looks as it should, but during runtime, it apears that the screen windows are always on top and pushing the button does not make the rectangle visible (always beneath screen windows) despite it's visibility is set. Will I be able to achieve what I plan to do? Note that I cannot make any of the screen windows invisible, but only make the rectangle displayed on top of them.

there is an FAQ about this:

"Controls are always displayed in the foreground regardless of the assigned layer.

Therefore, do not use basic objects or elements on the Controls Interface."

in WinCC V13 SP1 Professional RT screen windows and windowed controls are always on top. And  windowless objects (e.g. rectangles, buttons, ...) cannot be on top of windowed objects.

But you can put a fourth screen window in your main window. This screen window is by default invisible and if you now set in Runtime this fourth screen window to visible it will be placed on top of the other screen windows.

And when you hide the border, caption, ... of the screen window it looks like a rectangle is placed on top of the other screen window(s).

thank you for that suggestion! I implemented it like that and eventually achieved my goal. This is how I wanted it to look like!
