Hi,

I configured a recipe in tia portal v13 sp1 and included some elements, one of the elements is of type string .

The problem is that in runtime when trying to enter a value for the string element only numeric values are accepted and when typing alphanumeric characters the field doesn't change.

Even I Tried to give the element a default value as string but in runtime the field remained blank.

Is this a new restriction in TIA portal?,cause I have already did that in  a previous wincc flexible 2008 project and everything was working fine 

Or I'm I missing something?

which runtime do you use the recipes in (RT Advanced/Professional or some panel?) and what update to TIA Portal V13 SP1 is installed on your PC?

Well I'm using TP1200 comfort and Upd 6 for TIA Portal

wished I have read the post before updating to 6

So  I guess I will wait for update 7, Hope its not too long

Well having another problem with recipe view, the decimal point seems to be disabled on the keyboard, might this have a relation with the string error ?

When will update 7 be released? Should I wait  a lot?

And Is it possible for a project build with update 6 to be opened with update 5 , In case i want to reinstall TIA 13 with update 5.
