Trend selection in Runtime

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi Two possible ways of solving your problem 1- design a trendview with let say 4 trends.Above ( or below ) you put 4 dropdown text list where you can choice which trend you want .ie item 1 in list 1 boiler temp left item2 boiler temp right etc .Now you need to do some stuff in the PLC . your trend is connected to a PLC tag .the trick is when you pick another item in the dropdown list is to pass this number to the PLC.In the PLC you use this nr to do indirect adressing ie Trend 1 = Tag tr1 = DBxx.DBW200 Droplist1 = Tag drop1 = DBxx.DBW100 actual process value from field Boiler temp left :DBxx.DBW10 Boiler temp right : DBxx.DBW20 example of S7 // Graph 1 L DB22.DBW 100 // selection x 10 L 10 *I SLW 3 T MD 220 L DBW [MD 220] // Temperature value T DBW 200 2-Design lets say 4 trendviews with let say 4 trends.but you stack the 4 trensd ontop of each other.You then use 1 dropdown text list where you can choice which trend picture you want .According to the value from your tag you make 1 trendview visible and hide the other three.Look under properties of the trendview under animations/visibility that the best I can think of Hope it helps Eric
