MP377 and WinCC Flex 2005 ???

vin@cema Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am looking for help with an application for the MP377 device. We have previously (2 years ago) created an application for a number of MP370 devices using WinCC Flex 2005. We now have a project which requires a very similar app. however we have been told that as the MP370 is now superceded by the MP377 that we should be using the new device. The only downside of this is that apparantly we need to upgrade the copy of WinCC Flex up to the 2007 version to configure the MP377. However after talking to Tech Support a colleague of mine has been informed that it is possible to configure the MP377 using Flex 2005 by installing the Service Pack 1 and Hotfix 7. We have installed the updatestoday, and on trying the application the MP377 device does notappear in the list of available devices (In the WinCC Flex Explorer list) The "Further Devices" button takes us to the Support site and we have downloaded the MP377 Hotfix but this fails during installation saying that the version of WinCC Flex is NOT VALID. Could you please confirm, or otherwise, that it is possible to configure the MP377 with an updated version of WinCC Flex 2005 Thanks for any help Vince Noon CEMA Ltd

Dr.Stealth Posts: 121 Rating: (18)	Hello Vince Noon Sorry, but Imust say to you that one do not project of the "MP377" with "WinCC flex 2005". A "MP377" can be projected only from the version 2007.
