Hi,

Can anybody help me, I have two S7-416F CPU's set in multicomputing configuration and i want to connect TP700 To the first one in configuration. The panels that are connected to the IF 964DP is working and communicating to the PLC.

I have a panel also connected to the CP443-5 DP that is designated to the first PLC, but i can't establish the communication between PLC and the panel (cant read out of the DB)

Im using S7 Prof 2010 SR4 V5.5+SP4 for mulitcomputing configuration, and TIA Portal V13 SP1 for configuring TP700.

do you use a proxy device in TIA as placeholder for the PLC?

Actually it does not work with the device proxy, since in my hardware configuration has two plc's on the same rack the TIA portal can't import the proxy with the current hardware config. We have other plc's that use device proxy as a placeholder for plc but they are one on the rack.

I created the new project using TIA with the hardware config without the second plc and with only panels on the profibus

The config now is

PM - PLC - PLC - CP443 - CP443 - CP443

Maybe this empty slots 5&6 in hardware config influence the communication or something, im just trying to make sure is there another way before i try into looking rearranging the layout on the rack so the CP  is right next to the PLC im trying to access

i managed to solve it somehow! basically i removed the second plc form the hardware config in Step7 and imported this project as a device proxy to TIA portal, played a little with the network configuration and i was able to get the data to be shown on the TP700 that is connected to the CP443
