unable to open the program with any simotion scout version

jowey Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	dear all i have a problem with a machine that is fitted with s7 315 cpu and a simotion c230-2 system for some reason suddenly the mmc on the simotion lost its program and i got a new mmc but i was not able to open the program with my current scout v2.0 i tried to use scout v4.3 also couldnt open the program i know that the program is written using a very old scout version but i dont understant why i can not convert it using newer versions i am attaching the program here so please guys if any one could open it tell me what was the scout version that he used thanks joe Attachment Ela14_09_04.zip (350 Downloads)

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 1/22/2026 Posts: 22807 Rating: (3074)	Hello, the project was last edited with Scout V3.1. If i remember since V4.1 of Scout the older PLC FW Released <V3.2 no longer supported so you must use a Scout Version V3.1 - V3.2. Regards Christoph

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 1/22/2026 Posts: 22807 Rating: (3074)	Hello, this old versions not available for download (if i remember then only the V4.x Version was first available for Download) I check your project and there is a C230-2 V2.0 This PLC Version was last supported in the Scout V3.1 SP1 , this is veryvery old stuff you ! Have you check if the new MMC is working in this old HW Type? Regards Christoph

We see the source code of units but no Hardware C3230-2 was generated in Attached PDF document I copy some screens from decompile. The best way should be to get the project as an XML-Export V3.1 .for the upgrade. Attachment Opening the project with Scout 3.pdf (419 Downloads)

But with V3.1 is not possible to download the project offline to Filesystem, this was a feature of the newer versions of Scout.
