I am after a bit of help please. I need to create some code in order to produce an hourly running timer.

Can anyone assist me in how I go about doing this please.

I am using V13 of TIA Portal.

May it be a "run time meter" / "RTM" you are looking for?

The solution will depend on what hardware platform you work with.
For the S7-1x00 families.. look for "RTM".

I am playing about with the TONR_X Block.

Jack,

You can use a TONR - but very possible you have to combine that with a counter in some way. It very much depend on how many hours you wish to track. I would have TONR keep track of short periods and have a DINT track bigger increments.

Have a look at what was published for the S7-1200 by <koenb> in [LINK].

There are a few topics about this.. most helpful ones in the "Step7 / Step7 Lite" section of the forum. Do a search on "running time" or something similar in the Forum search facility.
