Let's say your PLC has a tag called LocalTime as Time datatype.

DTL datatype is made up of the following, right?

DTLvar.Hour and DTLvar.Minute (plus a bunch more)

In HTML, you can do:

:=DTLvar.Hour:::=DTLvar.Minute: (note the : in the middle) for hh:mm)

If you want to force them to strings and format with padding, you can choose css, html, or do some string conversions and pad in the PLC.  Your choice.

Having got the user defined web pages working, it's time to smarten them up.

I'm after a way to display real time on the webpage. Displaying "TOD#12:00:00:000" isn't a problem  by accessing the data block directly but I'd like to display just hours and minutes and not have the "TOD#".

Anyone know if this is possible? I've been thinking of separating the time into separate variables (hours and minutes) and displaying it that way but then there would be two output fields 

Oh, you are wanting to display timer values, not time of day values.

Timer values are msec and need div by 1000, then converted to string..

If I try any derivative of the time value then nothing is displayed.

I realised the case was high for the variants so thought I'd cracked it but still nothing.

I am using a DB for my timers so they are in a longer format:

<td class="output_field">:="Settable timers".setting_timer:</td>

and tried 

<td class="output_field">:="Settable timers".setting_timer.HOUR:</td>

but even using memory data I still get the same error.
