I have instaled software tia portal v13 with wincc runtime profesional ( atachment ). I want for testing on the line start runtime in my pc for panel TP1200 but my runtime buton is gray and i can't start runtime and then i must go always to panel for changing parameters. Before reinstallation windows everythink worked fine. Maybe somebody can help me

a panel can only be simulated on the PC, for this you don't need the WinCC Runtime.

The WinCC Runtime Button is used if you have configured a WinCC Runtime Project (no Panel) and start it on the PC.

For the Panels only the Simulation is available.

And you haven't install the WinCC Runtime, only the Runtime Simulator!

Dear Vampyrian,

if you want to simulate your panel you have to open/select a page of the panel on the Tia Portal and then the icon shaped like a PC to start the runtime will not be greyed out anymore.

Are you saying that the WinCCRuntime software can substitute a touch panel? PLC+WinCCRuntime (installed on a PC), instead of PLC+HMI?

 yes this is possible.

For Example:

If you use a SIEMENS IPC with Touch Panel than you can use this as a HMI Device.

You install the WinCC Runtime SW and Licence on the IPC and download the HMI Project from the Engineering to the IPC.
Now the Runtime SW on the IPC act's like a HMI , no problem.

And NO, the RT Button is never active if you have projected a panel! Only the Simulate Button can be active for Panels, not more!
We talk about WinCC TIA, not WinCC Flexible! In WinCC Flexible only 1 button exists to start the HMI on the PC, depends on which device you have configured the button starts the simulation or the RT.

In WinCC TIA the buttons have different functionality!
