Manc Posts: 37 Rating: (2)	Hi, I have been doing some testing on the bench, using S7-200 with a Micromaster 440 drive. I have the USS library instructions and have had the drive operating as expected. I switched ON the termination for the S7-200 profibus connector, but simply wired the other end of the cable into the drive, as I didn't have the necessary resistors that the manual recommends. It works but was troublesome if a parameter in the drive is set too low. (The parameter that ensures the comms are active) So, anyway. My question is.... Is there an off the shelf solution to terminate the network, or shall I just get myself the necessary resistors. I just think the latter option will look untidy and hope somebody sells a nice moulded assembly with the required components integrated. Thanks in advance.

Hello manc;
Since USS runs on a RS-485 layer, maybe you could look at the active termination node used for Profibus-DP. You have to provide 24 V DC to the unit in the fiield for it to function; it is installed in the field, din-rail mounted.
