S7-300 Memory card access

shuttythered Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am new to the forum and also new to PLCs so please go easy on me! The problem that I am experiencing is that I have made a mod on a block and I would like to store it on the EEPROM and I have been told that I can't over write the block but need to delete it first from the EEPROM and then copy from RAM to ROM. I know that if the power is switched off I will lose my mod on the CPU. How can I look at what is stored on the EEPROM so I can delete the block using Simatic Manager? I have gone into file and then S7 memory card but nothing is highlighted. Any help would be much appreciated. Shuttythered.

Older S7-300's (as well as all S7-400's) can useso called MC's (Memory card). Newer S7-300's MUSThave aso called MMC's (Micro memory cards). The handling of an MC versus an MMC is quite different and below is a collation of FAQ's which shall have all the info you need for either of these two types of cards. shuttythered Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Fritz, Thanks for your help. The memory card is a FEPROM MC951/32KB/5V Part no.6ES7 951-0K00-0AA0 I am using S7-300 CPU 314. I have written RAM to ROM and I was given an acknowledgement that it was successful. My latest query was how do I look at the memory card to check it has been successful. The information that I have received is that I need a Siemens Field PG or a Prommer USB. We are using a desktop PC with Simatic Manager so I guess my best bet would be to purchase a prommer USB and attach it to the PC with the memory card. I am waiting to hear back from Tech support on which prommer is correct. Shuttythered
