which plc system required how to control speed of 280 sinamics G drives on communication

innovations Bronze Member Joined: 5/21/2008 Last visit: 12/13/2025 Posts: 93 Rating: (0)	Dear All Members, Recently a customer requiremnet is like this No of Drives-280 Type of drives =Sinamics G with speed cpntrol communication :Profinet Requiremnt : to control setpoint & command of all 280 drives & monitor the Act data of Drives(Amp & Freq & torque ) for the setpoint a single hmi/ Touch Panel is to be used Pl suggest PLC system for this & configuration

Device support of 128, that mean that not more then 128 devices can be controlled from one IO-Controller. If you select a S7-1500 V2 or a Simotion D with CBE30-2 then you have 2 io-Systems and can handle theoretic a maximum of 2.128 Devices(256). For 280 devices you need mor then one PLC! Let's suppose that the RT is all the originator needs. hmmm this can be work. in tia V14 Sp1 is configurable and compiled without any error. Then he must only show how he control the 280 devices , becuase if i understand the technical slides then the number of Technology axis are restricted on S7-1500 or? So 280 axes can be a problem or he use the drive FB for the job, but then he should check if the memory on the PLC is enough. Regards Christoph
