Hi, 

I am having the above mentioned SIWATOOL version installed in my laptop with Windows 8.1.

I am trying to connect to SIWAREX WP241 but i am getting the message as attached.

Please advise.

I did use PST tool to confirm the IP address & then i keyed in the IP address which i had discover via PST tool inside the SIWATOOL. 

Therefore i am sure that there is no error in the IP address setting.

Yes i am using WP241 module in stand-alone mode & the dip switch is in down position (for the 2nd one (on the right hand side).

There is 24V supply going into the WP241. I have attached the image here for your reference.

Hello karthikk,

The following reasons can cause your error message:

1. You set a wrong IP-address in the Siwatool software
2. You are using the WP241 module in stand-alone-mode AND the DIP-switch at the WP241 module is set to SIMATIC
3. The WP241 module has no 24V. Here the LED for the load cells (LED “LC”) is off.

 Hi Siwarexi, 

I am in the midst of checking if i am still able to return the unit (as per you colleague's advice)

I have no other WP241 module with me now but i have already tested with another WP231 which works absolutely fine.

Will keep you updated. 

And one more thing is that the WP241 is of FS:03 & WP231 is of FS:04.

Will the hardware version cause this to happen?

Hello karthikk,

Strange that only the DIAG-LED is on.
Normaly also the LC-LED is on:
- red, when no load cell is connected
- green, when a load cell is connected

Maybe the WP241 is faulty!
Do you have a second WP241 module?
