we are trying to implement a low cost positioning application and we have plc that outputs pulses as per our requirement. now can I control my motor position from this pulses. Say my motor is 1024 PPR, then it will give accuracy of 360/1024= 0.3515 degree travel. But my question is how should I use this pulse to control motor. Is there any pulse interface and parameters in S120? Is this possible with G120 and normal induction motor?

I am new to this application and I dont know where can I find the parameters for the pulses are the minimal pulse width, the maximal pulse width, and the repetition rate, Are they supplied by motor supplier or can be configured in drive?

Anyway Its Possible To Control If You Going to Use S7-1x00 Controllers And G Series Drives 

If Your Going To Use S120 Means Its Better to Use Profinet/Profibus For Position  Control
