Hi, I wish to place an empty base module in my Interface module with PROFINET (6ES7 155-6AU00-0CN0). I was looking for a BU cover similar to 6ES7 133-6CV15-1AM0, but when I try to insert it, it says "Not the same system family".

I have searched for profinet BU cover but I cannot find any. I also believe there would be no difference between profinet and profibus when it is just an empty shell.

How do I specify in my hardware configuration that the profinet base module is empty?

you can configure any module (DI, DO...) and use ConfigurationControl in your program.

With this, the "real" hardware and "configured" hardware in TIA could be differnet...

I'm using the STEP7 HW Config program to configure the hardware, I have a DOL starter (3RK1308-0AD00-0CP0) that needs a reserve module between itself and the previous module to achieve EMC conformity. How do I define this in the HW Config? I have tried to set it all up in the TIA Selection tool and export it to a .cfg file and import it in the simatic HW config, but it just disappears (there is no config of base modules besides potential group).

I have tried to find information about this ConfigurationControl you told me about, but it seems to only work on S7-1200/1500 PLCs (and TIA portal). is there a way to do the same in the simatic HW config?
