pinky Posts: 97 Rating: (17)	It sounds like indirect adressing SetTagBit(GetTagChar("Name_of_my_Tag"),1); the tag "Name_of_my_Tag" contains the name of the tag, which should be set.

He wanted to enter for exmaple "M10.5" address into I/O field and then push button and toggle this address. So its not indirect addressing. In any way you must have declared all tags that you will use, but in this situation you must create tags "on fly". I think that's not possible. If you have some small range of bits you need to toggle then you can declare every bit as tag and the use indirect addressing as said above.

I still suggest to create all tags for every bit in the certain range, for example from M0.0 to M19.7 and then name tags as memory bits and use indirect addressing. It seems the only way...

How ever, the need to set 200 bits randomly is not very likely in a practical situation. If for example there 10 fields on WinCC from where you want to control any 10 M bits, I would not use SetTagBit at all. Instead I would send 10 byte addresses, 10 bit addresses and 10 value addresses to the PLC and use indirect addressing in the PLC to toggle the appropriate bits. This way you can control any set of 10 bits without any predefinition. Actually it all depends on what exactly Candy needs! Regards
