who could please give a tip

I have a customer who invites me to commission a bridge crane. The crane is completely assembled, the drives are Sinamics S120. hoist + gantry (2 drives) + trolley + trolley rotation.

At the moment the system is simple, just drives, no progrraming devices, BUT....

the customer wants to have two special functions

1. anty-sway (trolley + bridge)

2. bridge alignment

So my questions are

1. As far as I know there is Siemens "drive-based" solution for anty-sway, which is implemented based on DCC functionality. Could you please help to choose proper additional software/hardware for Sinamics S120 to implement this (licences, memory cards, ... ?)

2. I want to implement gantry alignment by myself. There are 4 sensors for bridge skew installed (led into the drive via TM31). If I have this drive-based DCC-based anti-sway system, can I put there additional DCC code for my bridge alignment (hope it's 3x PI-controllers needed).

3. The customer doesn't have encoders on trolley and bridge drives. Acc. to my general opinion, I can't achieve satisfied quality of anti-sway and bridge alignment, not having encoders. Could you please comment from your experience - should I try to do that without encoders?

4. Probably you recommend me to use any other approach to this task, it's also appreciated.

• One of significant thing that is measured by anti-sway system is so-called swing angle. The serious systems are implemented on swing angle measurement, at least. Such systems are equipped either with CCD system with target plate mounted on spreader or with system based on signal that comes from inclinometer.
• I hope you're going to build very simplified system, otherwise there must be used various automation items and calculations. On other hands very simplified system will have huge limitations for its utilization.

So I would ask you: What lifting movement (length) is proposed by customer application?
