My OP7 display shows Fault message as : 551 AS ADDRESS not possible.

Error 551

Cause:An MPI/PPI connection to the PLC cannot be established using the specified station address.

Remedy:Check MPI station addresses and wiring.

I have same problem with my OP7 in SIMOVERT MV and we found that there is hardware problem in OP7.

If you download the program to OP7 and after restart going to "ready for transfer" you must replace or repair your OP7.

For uploading or downloading to OP7 better not to use USB to RS232 converter because if not original and expensive one it will not work. Use computer with COM port "RS232" or use PG.
