I need to set-up  a Profibus communication between a S5-135U (IM 308C communication module) as Master and a CP1542-5 as slave.

How can I configure an IM 308-C as the Profibus master of a CP 1542-5 configured as slave in a TIA Portal V14 Project ?

You will need the package COM Profibus and the GSD file of the CP 1542-5.
The GSD file can be found here:

Once you have imported the GSD file in COM Profibus, you can insert the CP 1542-5 as a slave of the IM308C.

Thanks for your answer.

I know what to do on the S5 side.

The problem is TIA Portal does not compile the project if I don't declare a master for the CP1542-5. In the hardware catalog I could not find a S5 controller to be declared as master.
