Hi,

I'm building a third party open source software with IOT2000 SDK. This software requires use perl to analyze perl script and generate some assemble files. The problem is upon the perl script call 'use integer', it end up a failure with the integer.pm module cannot be found.

I also tried use perl to call 'use integer' directly by using following command:  /opt/poky/2.2.2/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/perl -e 'use integer'

It has the same error as following:

I would guess there is something wrong with the embedded perl env of the IOT2000 SDK. Is there any way to solve this issue?

Hi Jian. I'm not sure I understood your question completely:Are you wondering if that issue should be solved in the meta-iot2000 layer? Or are you looking for ways to contribute to the layer in general?

I mean the IOT2000 development team need solve this issue as it is there for more than one year. It is not good to make end user solve it by themselves, actually, it is a SDK bug.

I do not consider this an SDK bug, rather an additional requirement on the SDK that Yocto can generate (we didn't change that for meta-iot2000). Even in latest poky, I do not find any change that would resolve this case automatically. But feel free to correct me if you found some.

Please keep in mind that the example image that the SDK targets is a reference image that - by nature - cannot fulfill all requirements of all users out of the box.
