We need to establish communication between a S7-300 computer with CPU315F-2PN/DP and a PC, computers are connected through Ethernet. We would like to avoid a CP since CPU has an Ethernet interface. Is it possible to programm such communication without a CP? TCP/IP protocols (TCP or UDP) are desirable, but it would be enough to sort the problem using some kind of row sockets. I suppose that some kind of communication through Ethernet is possible since Ethetnet port is on the CPU box. Thanks in advance.
