would you use both SMC Modules or woukld you change the old one with the new one?

If you will use booth then configure a second encoder on the drive then the SMC is inserted in the Topology.

If you only need to change undplug the old and plug the new, then go online and uploadd the config to starter.

is this the SMC which is in the project on Port 1 of Servo_03?

You can plug it on the position like the left window of topology, or you drag&Drop it in the offline topology to the place which it have in the Online Topology (Right window), to change it offline go online with the project, drag&Drop it to the position you need, save and download the project.
