Click on the OS update tab and check if you have the folder with its image specified (depending on your hmi model) in it. If not then select the right folder. Also i believe you need to select transfer mode before you backup/restore smart hmis 

This Information is not very helpful I am afraid....

As far as I know, no Firmwareselection is necessary to do a backup.

If he (can) perform an OS - update. there is a chance to loose the old application...

Do you have the possibilty to use an USB - Keyboard as said from Christoph already?

If not, you have to use the original TIA Project and load it into a new panel.

If you do not have the TIA project -> bad luck.

Smart 1000 IE HMI does not have USB .

I even don't have HMI original program.

can you please tell me what is the reason behind this problem?

HMI is Smart 1000 IE

Kindly have a look at the following topic:

Configurable from WinCC flexible 2008 SP4 China

You must install  WinCC Flexible " China version" 

and then use Prosave" China version" Software to do the Backup of the HMI .

I have installed Wincc Flexible 2008 SP4 and using the Prosave of this software.
