However, you write that you have Windows7 64 bit. How did you install LSC V8.1? Stand-alone from a CD or as an upgrade via LSC V8.0?

No, your suggestion is not a solution to the problem. Without a full version, the download of the upgrade will not help you. The full version will be an older, already installed LSC from an original CD or an original CD.
