I am using Step-7 V5.6 with HF1 on Windows 10 64-Bit. If I use the ladder editor with "View->Display With->Symbol Selection" turned on then every time I select a symbol from the selection dialog the ladder editor loses focus. The PC switches to whatever other window is open on the screen at the time.

If I minimise all other windowxs to the task bar then the focus will stay with the ladder editor.

If I turn off the "View->Display With->Symbol Selection" option then I can enter symbols or addresses and the ladder editor stays in focus but of course I lose the symbol selection feature as a result.

This has only begun to occur recently on a new laptop. The problem didn't occur when Step-7 was first installed and doesn't occur on other Windows 7 laptops running the same version of Step-7.

I have done a "repair" installation of Step-7 and all associated packages in the Professional version with no change in behaviour.

Has anybody experienced this problem and solved it?

thios issue is fixed with HF3 of Step7 V5.6.

This HF can be ordered with a Support Request.
