I have a Simotion Scout TIA project made with TIA Portal V13 SP1 & Simotion Scout TIA V4.1.

When I tried to upgrade it with TIA Portal V14 SP1 & Simotion Scout TIA V5.1, there is no error during the upgrade of the project.

HMI & Network cofiguration are OK, but i lose all my Simotion variable and my Simotion Scout project is empty.

Is there anybody that already upgrade a Simotion SCOUT TIA project from V13 to V14 ?

Just now I tried opening a random V13 SP1 project in V14 with Scout TIA 5.1
I do see a similar issue.

For me it says "An error occured while upgrading the project/library", and a blue link to click on that says Log File. The log file lists things like:

Error in the conversion method: Siemens.Simatic.Hmi.Utah.Tag.ConvertFinalizer.DoConvert(IHmiConversionData)!

Everything for me is nonspecific, except this one nugget:

If I go in the V13 project and delete the variable, and then try again, then I can get the conversion to work. Then add the variable back in.

I guess my point is to try to decipher the log file to get specifics on what it is failing on. Maybe we can help?

But when I upgrade my project I have no error message.

My project is already in V13 SP1 with Simotion SCOUT TIA 4.4.0.6

I will reinstall TIA Portal V14 & Smotion Scout TIA to see if there is a issue there.

I reinstall TIA Portal V14 SP1 and simotion scout TIA v5.1.0.1 but my problem is still the same.

I’m under Windows 10 1607, and have TIA Portal V15 and Starter V5.1.0.1 also installed. Can the issue came from that ?
